Secondary 1 (S1) posting process

Most students are placed in secondary schools through the S1 posting process, which takes place once the PSLE results are released. Learn about the process and how to prepare.

Note: The PSLE score ranges listed in the booklet (Reference K) refers to the PSLE score of the first and last student admitted into a particular school for each course in the 2020 S1 posting, and the Cut-Off Point (COP) is the score of the last student admitted to the school. Please refer to SchoolFinder for the COPs based on the 2021 S1 posting. These PSLE score ranges should only be used as a reference.

Submit school choices

Choose your child's preferred secondary schools. The S1 Internet System (S1-IS) opens for 24-hour online submission from 11.30am on the day of PSLE results release. You can submit your child’s 6 preferred school choices online within the next 7 calendar days.

Third or fourth week of Dec

Receive school posting results

The posting results will be released in late December via online, SMS and through your child’s primary school.
