Kindergarten Care at MOE Kindergarten

Kindergarten Care (KCare) is available for parents who require a full-day service for their children who are enrolled in MKs not on the Full-Day Model. Learn about the fees, subsidies and how to register.

What is Kindergarten Care (KCare)

KCare is a care service available in all MKs (except at MK@Rivervale and MK@West View).

KCare operates from Monday to Friday, till 7pm, including school holidays. It is closed on public holidays, Teachers' Day, Children's Day and up to 6 additional days each year.

The programme includes meals as well as activities designed to provide time and space for children to play, explore and discover through:

  • Indoor and outdoor modular activities, such as art and craft, tinkering, cookery and gardening activities.
  • Indoor and outdoor free play, such as dramatic play, and sand and water play.

KCare Centre is located within the same premises at the MK.

From 2028 to 2030, MKs will progressively transition to the Full-Day Model. MKs on the Full-Day Model will not offer KCare services.

MK@Rivervale and MK@West View will be piloting the Full-Day Model from 2027, and will no longer offer KCare services.

Fees and subsidies

For 2027, the maximum KCare monthly fee is $435.40. KCare fees are also payable during the June and December holidays.

As mentioned in PM’s 2026 Budget Speech, the income eligibility of preschool subsidies will be raised from 1 Jan 2027.
