MOE Kindergarten – Early Years Centre (EYC) Partnership

We have partnered with two Anchor Operators – PCF Sparkletots (PCF) and NTUC First Campus’ My First Skool (MFS) to provide a continuum of quality and affordable preschool education for children aged two months to six years.

What the MK-EYC Partnership is about

Under the MK-EYC model, PCF and MFS operate Early Years Centres (EYCs) providing pre-school services for children aged two months to four years. Eligible children in the EYCs are guaranteed a place at a partner MOE Kindergarten (MK) and can choose to enrol at the MK to continue their Kindergarten 1 (K1) and Kindergarten 2 (K2) programme. This allows your child to have a seamless transition to K1 in the year they turn five.

Who is eligible

All Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident Nursery 2 (N2) children enrolled in an EYC by 31 January of his/her N2 year will be offered a K1 place in a partner MK.

Use SchoolFinder to find MKs near you that have partner EYCs. More information on the partner EYCs is also available on the PCF Sparkletots and My First Skool websites.

Note: If you decide to apply to other non-partner MKs instead, your child will not be guaranteed a K1 place at the non-partner MKs. Your application to the non-partner MKs will be considered under the Open Admissions (non-EYC) registration and subject to the same criteria as all other Open Admissions applications.

What parents are saying

"I believe young parents might get anxious about registration to primary school. So when I found out about the transition for my child in Early Years Centre Nursery 2 to a guaranteed Kindergarten 1 place in MK, and the opportunity for priority admission to my preferred primary school, I left my anxiety behind. I felt that this MK-EYC partnership is wonderful as it helps parents and children to go through the various transition phases with ease."

— Parent of Nur Armel’lia, from MK@Fern Green

"I believe that the MK-EYC partnership is important for the children as with the transition programme, the children are well prepared to take the next step and would feel at ease when going into a new environment. It would also build up excitement for the children so that they can look forward to continuing their learning journey."

— Parent of Aveer, from MK@Wellington and its partner EYC
