Care and safety of children
Your child’s safety and well-being are important to us. Learn how we take care of them when they’re with us.
Ensuring your child’s safety
All MOE Kindergartens (MK) are located within primary schools. We work closely with primary schools to make sure that:
- The physical and social and emotional well-being of our children is taken care of
- There are dedicated learning spaces for MK children, equipped with age-appropriate and child-safe learning resources
- Children are always supervised by an MK teacher or staff at all times
During arrival and dismissal times, you can drop off and pick up your child only at designated assembly points. All visitors to the MK must register with our security officers.
Health Matters
The Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) has issued clear guidelines on managing infectious diseases and health hazards such as haze. We strictly adhere to these guidelines, which include:
- Hygiene practices, such as daily temperature-taking and health checks of children upon arrival, management of infectious diseases, handling of food
- Serving of food which is nutritious, balanced and varied
- Monitoring of children’s health and well-being throughout the programme hours and managing children who are unwell
- Cleaning the premises daily or whenever required and disinfecting high-touch surfaces and items, including utensils and shared resources.
- Provision for sufficient space to accommodate children in the event of haze and ensuring appropriate activity levels depending on the haze condition.
