Common Arts, Media & Design Programme
Candidates interested in the creative industries but who have not decided on a specific major for a career should consider applying for the Common Arts, Media & Design Programme (CAP). CAP provides a foundational, cross-disciplinary creative arts curriculum that immerses students in the creative sector by covering competencies applicable to various creative careers. In addition, CAP supports students in sampling alternative disciplines before making a choice— equipping them with first-hand experience in each major, enabling them to decide on a diploma in which to enrol with confidence.
Students admitted to the Common Arts, Media & Design Programme (R65) must ensure that they satisfy the requirements of the respective diplomas before they can be streamed to the respective courses. Those opting to stream into the Diploma in Design (R67), or the Diploma in Sonic Arts (R24) are required to pass a stipulated elective module for the diploma in lieu of fully meeting their minimum entry requirements.
