Design
This diploma equips you with the skills required for a career as a designer who can work in a variety of industries with a sought-after major in games/gamification, user experience, or visual communication. Students are first equipped with a design DNA blueprint covering design thinking, user experience design, and the use of industry-standard digital tools.
Later, students choose to focus on one of three majors:
1) Games and Gamification, which emphasises digital and analogue game, augmented and virtual reality experiences, and gamification design.
2) User Experience, which emphasises user research, design solutions, and usability evaluation.
3) Visual Communication, which emphasises graphic design, colour and typography, brand design and strategy, and immersive content creation.
It should be noted that candidates with colour appreciation deficiency, profound hearing loss, uncontrolled epilepsy and/or physical impairments may encounter difficulties meeting the course requirements and expectations. For more clarifications and information, please check directly with Republic Polytechnic.
Applicants with mild colour vision deficiency may be assessed on a case-by-case basis to determine their suitability for the courses.
