Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE)

1. Overview

The Joint Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (JPAE) allows ITE students with a Higher Nitec and Nitec qualification to apply for polytechnic courses.

Depending on the course applied and your previous area of study, you may qualify for certain exemptions in your polytechnic course.

Who is it for

You are eligible under JPAE if you:

• Hold a relevant Higher Nitec, Industrial Technician Certificate (ITC) or Certificate in Business Studies (CBS).
• Hold a relevant Nitec or National Technical Certificates (NTC) Grade 2.
• Are a graduating Higher Nitec student in your semester, including those from the Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP).
• Are a graduating Nitec student in your final semester.

When is it

The JPAE application window for admission to the 2024 polytechnic intake will be held from 9am on Monday, 19 February to 4pm on Friday, 23 February 2024.
