Primary 1 (P1) registration for Singaporeans living overseas

P1 registration for Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident children is conducted online through the P1 Registration Portal, typically from July to August.

You can use your Singpass to register and check registration results through the portal, whether you are in Singapore or overseas.

Registration phases

You can register your child in their eligible phases, from Phase 1 to 2C Supplementary.

With an older sibling on Leave of Absence (LOA)
If an older sibling is currently on LOA from a primary school, you can register your child in Phase 1 for that school.

If an older sibling was previously on LOA and has studied in a primary school, you can register your child in Phase 2A for that school.

Address for registration

You may register using your NRIC address, a yet-to-be-completed property address or a resale property address.

Leave of absence

If your child is allocated a place in a school through the P1 registration process but is unable to return to Singapore to start school in January, you can apply for an LOA from your child's school.
