Carving a New Identity

MOE Kindergarten @ Temasek

New school, new experiences, new memories. As the pioneers of MOE Kindergarten @ Temasek, we set off to discover ourselves.

Like the skilful hands of a carpenter working on a piece of wood, our paths crossed as we carve out an identity. Along the way, we make meaningful choices, persevere, and awaken our sense of wonder. We bond, learn, and create lasting memories together.

We will always be a work in progress. Let us soak in these precious moments as we carve out the intricate pattern that reflects our identity.

Heroes Without Capes
By Choong Tze Hong
Junyuan Secondary School

The teachers in my school strive to develop close-knit and healthy relationships with their students. While they do their best to plan good lessons and try out new strategies and methods to engage students, it is their ‘heart’ work that really makes the difference.

Through their dedication and perseverance, coupled with sincere smiles, they make learning enjoyable and possible for the students. The photos in this series show that our teachers are also cheerleaders, role-models, medics, mentors, and friends to the students.

Through these roles, they pepper the lives of the kids in Junyuan with many priceless moments. And this is why I call them Heroes Without Capes.

Reading Under the Stars @ NBPS

Naval Base Primary School

Take a journey through the pictures of a night of fun and watch every child’s fantasy come true at Naval Base Primary School’s annual programme – Reading Under the Stars.

’Twas the night before a Saturday, excitement buzzed all through the school. As the sun set amid the evening cool, our little Navalites, some snug in their pyjamas, others clad in costumes, nestled in the hall, amongst their teachers and their folks.

Visions of legends, tales and heroes pranced in their heads, with smiles glued to their little faces, and their eyes glued to books, they snuggled close to dads and moms, all Reading Under the Stars.
