Developing students’ AI literacy

Besides knowing how to use AI tools, students must develop AI literacy.

MOE adopts the ‘Four Learns’ approach – for every student to Learn about AI, Learn to use AI, Learn with AI and most importantly, Learn beyond AI – to learn what AI is, how it works, what its risks and limitations are, how to use it safely and responsibly, to continue to develop 21st Century Competencies and values so that they remain distinctly human in ways that AI cannot replicate.

Self-paced modules on AI literacy are available on SLS to further support students’ development of AI literacy. These modules help students learn about AI, how to use AI-enabled features in SLS, and responsible use of AI for learning.
