Direct School Admission (DSA-Sec): Receive school allocation results
2. Allocation outcomes
What to do if the outcome is successful
If your child is admitted to a secondary school through DSA-Sec, they are not allowed to submit school choices during S1 Posting, nor transfer to another school. They are required to honour their commitment to the posted DSA-Sec school for the duration of the programme.
Learn more on DSA-Sec Commitment.
However, some students may still need to submit specific options during S1 Posting. Check which applies to your child:
What to do if the outcome is unsuccessful
If your child is not admitted to a secondary school through DSA-Sec, they must participate in S1 Posting, if eligible.
You should submit your child’s secondary school choices by the last day of S1 school choice submission period. You may still opt for the schools that your child has applied to during the DSA-Sec, except for specialised independent schools as they do not participate in S1 Posting.
Students who do not submit any school choices will be posted to a school with remaining vacancies, based on their official registered address, after all the students who have indicated their choices have been posted. Due to limited vacancies, they might not be posted to a school near their official registered address.
If you have changed your official residential address reflected on your NRIC, inform your child's primary school by end October to update their records.
