School Placement Exercise for Returning Singaporeans-Junior College or Millennia Institute (SPERS-JC/MI)

Applications for the 2021 SPERS-JC/MI open on 7 July 2021. The tests will be conducted on Thursday, 11 November 2021.

1. Overview

SPERS-JC/MI is a centralised merit-based placement exercise conducted for returning Singaporeans who wish to join Year 1 of a junior college (JC) or Millennia Institute (MI) at the beginning of the next academic year. It is not compulsory and does not guarantee admission to your school of choice. It is intended for those who prefer the convenience of a centralised placement exercise.

  • In view of the COVID-19 situation, the conduct of the SPERS-JC/MI Exercise will be aligned to the national safe management measures leading up to and during the actual test dates. This means that all candidates are required to complete their Quarantine Order or Stay-Home-Notice prior to the test date to ensure the safety of our candidates and examiners, and safe management measures will be in place during the conduct of the tests. MOE will keep applicants updated should there be any changes or cancellation of this exercise.
  • Alternatively, you may consider emailing or calling your preferred school directly in end December for the school's consideration. Admission is subject to availability of vacancies in the school. To assess your child's suitability for admissions, schools may conduct school-based assessment tests, interviews, or both.
