School Placement Exercise for Returning Singaporeans-Junior College or Millennia Institute (SPERS-JC/MI)

 

Applications for the 2026 SPERS-JC/MI open from 8am on Thursday, 9 July 2026 till 4.30pm on Friday, 16 October 2026.

The tests will be conducted on Friday, 6 November 2026.

1. Overview

What is SPERS-JC/MI

SPERS-JC/MI is a centralised merit-based placement exercise conducted for Returning Singaporeans (RS) who wish to join Year 1 of a junior college (JC) or Millennia Institute (MI) at the beginning of the next academic year. It is not compulsory and does not guarantee admission to your school of choice. It is intended for those who prefer the convenience of a centralised placement exercise.

 
RS may also consider the other available post-secondary admission options.

Apply

Submit your child's application online. You can pay for the application through credit card, cheque or PayNow. You can refer to the notification email from the Principals Academy for payment details.

Fri, 23 Oct 2026

Receive confirmation email

If your application is approved and payment is successful, you will receive an email with your child's test details.

Fri, 6 Nov 2026

Take tests

Your child will take tests for English, Mathematics and general ability in Singapore.

Mon, 21 Dec 2026 to Fri, 8 Jan 2027

Receive outcome and approach preferred schools

If your child is assessed to be suitable, you will receive an email with the list of schools that they are eligible for on Monday, 21 December 2026. You have to email or call the preferred school by Friday, 8 January 2027 to complete the admissions process.
