Primary 1 registration for international students

1. Overview

Primary 1 (P1) registration for international students (IS) is for children who are not Singapore Citizens (SC) or Permanent Residents (PR) seeking admission to a mainstream primary school. 

Admission is not guaranteed due to limited vacancies, as priority is given to SC and PR children.

Check when your child is eligible for P1 registration

You can register your child in the 2026 P1 Registration Exercise if your child is born between 2 January 2020 and 1 January 2021 (both dates inclusive).

Indicate your interest

Submit your interest through an online form and upload relevant documents during this period:
 
From: 9am on Tuesday, 19 May 2026 
To: 4.30pm on Monday, 25 May 2026
 
If you miss the deadline, we will not consider any appeals.

By end October

Receive outcome

We will notify you through email by the end of October whether your child is offered a place in a primary school.

If your child is offered a place
We will provide you with the details in the email to register at the designated school.

If your child is not offered a place
Consider alternatives, such as private schools or taking part in the Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) for admission to Primary 2.
