Embracing the Great Outdoors
By Mar Xie Fai Ferdinand
Anderson Primary School

With the resumption of residential camps, our Primary 5 Andersonians had the opportunity to step outside of their comfort zone and immerse themselves in the great outdoors.

From cooking outdoors to camping under the night sky in tents, they embraced the unfamiliarity together with their peers and teachers, forging greater friendships through these shared experiences.

As they conquer challenges and obstacles together, students also learnt the value of teamwork and resilience. These photographs encapsulate the essence of their growth and resilience, serving as cherished memories of their primary school journey that they will hold dear to.

Nature’s Classroom: Cultivating Knowledge in the Garden
By Noorul Ameen Afrah Thahseen
MOE Kindergarten @ Angsana

Who doesn't like being outside? We adore the outdoors, and outdoor learning offers children a lot of chances to grow their conceptual knowledge and skills through unstructured experience and play.

By encouraging children to use their senses to look, listen, smell, and touch things, teachers foster their curiosity. We value the environment as the third teacher, where children are joyful, curious, and engaged learners inspired to think critically through real-world experiences.

In exploring the garden, our children enjoy gathering materials for play and exercising their creativity and imagination with the items collected. For instance, they can match different materials to its corresponding numerals, or just create something they like.
