Catholic Junior College to Be Relocated to Punggol Under Junior College Rejuvenation Programme
Last Updated: 16 Jan 2026
Catholic Junior College (CJC) will relocate to a new campus near Punggol Digital District (see location map in Annex). CJC's move, which is part of Phase 2 of the Junior College (JC) Rejuvenation Programme1, will facilitate collaborative and interactive learning to support future educational needs and allow for greater synergies with neighbouring institutions.
2. CJC's move will serve the wider community and provide quality pre-university education in the north-east region of Singapore. The new campus is targeted for operation tentatively in 2034.
3. The relocation will place CJC in close proximity with digital firms and institutions in the Punggol Digital District, including the Singapore Institute of Technology. CJC is poised to explore collaborations and partnerships in the area to advance its students' exposure to the latest advancements and opportunities in the digital sector, as well as to enrich the educational experiences for its students. In addition, CJC will be able to conduct a greater variety of outdoor and sports activities in the nearby Punggol Regional Sports Centre and recreation spaces such as Punggol Heritage Trail and Punggol Waterway Park.
4. CJC's new campus will offer interactive learning spaces that would support the educational needs of its students. The campus will see enhanced features including configurable areas that cater to different settings and pedagogies (e.g. seminar style teaching and project work discussions), as well as students' interests and niche programmes (e.g. activities to promote the learning of the Humanities, English Language, and Linguistics, as well as Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Staff will also have multi-functional workspaces to facilitate interactions and collaborations.
5. CJC's key stakeholders, including the School Management Committee, staff, and alumni, are supportive of the move and look forward to the opportunities that the new location can provide in terms of learning, growth, and student development.
6. MOE will continue to work with CJC to ensure a smooth transition and preserve CJC's heritage as it moves to Punggol. This includes preserving the college's distinctive educational traditions, school culture, historical artefacts, and exploring the feasibility of relocating significant architectural elements from the current campus.
