Singapore Schools Sports Council Colours Awards 2019

More than 8,700 students from secondary schools, junior colleges, and Millennia Institute will be awarded the Singapore Schools Sports Council (SSSC) Colours Awards this year. This is in recognition of their sporting achievements and display of good sporting character and values.

2. Into its 49th year, the SSSC Colours Awards 2019 will be presented to:

  • 53 students from 21 schools, who will receive the SSSC Best Sportsboy Award and SSSC Best Sportsgirl Award;
  • 380 students from 68 schools, who will receive the SSSC Colours Award (Distinction); and
  • 8,341 students from 139 schools, who will receive the SSSC Colours Award.

3. The criteria for the awards are listed in Annex A.

4. The Best Sportsboy and Best Sportsgirl winners received their awards at the SSSC Colours Awards Presentation on 20 September. They are listed in Annex B.

Closing of 2019 National School Games

5. The SSSC Colours Awards Presentation also marks the closing of the 2019 National School Games (NSG)1, which saw more than 60,000 students taking part in nearly 30 different sports.
