2019年“新空下”全国学生新谣歌唱及创作比赛大决赛

42 students from 18 schools competed for 25 awards at the Grand Finals of the National Schools Xinyao Singing and Songwriting Competition. Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Chairperson of the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL), Ms Low Yen Ling, graced the event on 27 July.

Jointly organised by CPCLL, Jurong Pioneer Junior College, Lianhe Zaobao, and TCR Music Station, the competition aims to promote the learning of Chinese Language by stimulating students’ interest through singing and composing Mandarin songs. Since the inception of the competition in 2015, around 24,000 students of different linguistic backgrounds from various secondary schools, Junior Colleges/Millennia Institute, Polytechnics and ITE have participated and benefited from the immersion in the Chinese Language.

3.
