Career prospects
Upon graduation, Higher Nitec in Opticianry graduates can register under the Optometrists & Opticians Board (OOB) to become provisionally licensed Dispensing & Refraction Opticians; and eventually to Fully Licensed Opticians upon meeting the requirements of OOB.
Higher Nitec in Opticianry graduates are employed as Opticians in a variety of settings, such as optical retail stores, independent or joint eye care practices, hospitals or optical laboratories.
