Relief MOE Kindergarten Educator Scheme
If you are registered as a relief MOE Kindergarten Educator (MKE) (also known as Flexi-Adjunct MKE), you may be engaged by an MOE Kindergarten for 1 day to 10 weeks per appointment to provide our children with an enriched learning experience, nurture their social skills and prepare them for lifelong learning. Roles and responsibilities
Cover teaching duties and ensure the children’s well-being and safety, including the following:
- Organise and deliver the curriculum and programmes.
- Support the development and implementation of teaching approaches and preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Provide a positive learning environment.
- Engage parents and education partners.
- Monitor and document the children's learning and growth.
The specific duties of the relief MKE will be agreed upon between the relief MKE and the MOE Kindergarten.
Requirements
You can apply if you meet any ONE of the following requirements:
- A former MK Educator.
- Possess or are pursuing a Diploma (Conversion) in Early Childhood Care & Education – Teaching (or equivalent).
- An L2 certified Kindergarten Teacher.
- Current or former Pro-FLAiR, Kindergarten Care staff, MOE Education Officer, MOE Allied Educator (Teaching & Learning).
Contract duration
Varies from 1 day to 10 weeks per appointment, depending on the requirements of the school.
Leave benefits
You will be eligible for pro-rated leave benefits after 3 months of cumulative service. Cumulative service refers to contracts that:
- Last 14 days or more.
- Are renewed within 30 calendar days of the last contract.
- Are at the same MOE Kindergarten.
Note: If your spouse is eligible for maternity or adoption leave, you will still be eligible for Shared Parental Leave even if you have served less than 3 months.
How to register
- Submit your application through the Registration and Engagement Management System (REMS 2.0) portal, by applying for the Flexi-Adjunct MOE Kindergarten Educator [FAJ(MKE)] scheme.
- All applications will be considered based on the Ministry's prevailing requirements and guidelines.
- Shortlisted applicants will need to undergo a medical examination and may have to receive vaccinations according to the prevailing guidelines.
- Check your application status via REMS 2.0. You will also receive an email notification informing you on the outcome of your application. Applications will generally take about 4 weeks to process. In some cases, processing time may take longer.
- If successful, you will be listed in our registry, and schools will contact you directly if they need your services. You may also search job postings for vacancies in schools. Successful registration in REMS 2.0 does not guarantee employment in schools.

- 1 June 2024 to 30 June 2024
- 1 December 2024 to 31 December 2024
We will not be accepting applications outside of the window.
