Potential career path and developmental opportunities for scholars
Scholars will be posted to SBS Transit's Bus or Rail Business, and be part of a team that ensures the smooth runnning, safety and reliability of its bus and rail operations across Singapore. They will be assigned a mentor who will guide and coach them to develop their technical competencies, skills and knowledge to achieve their potential on the job.
After two to three years, depending on the scholar's aspirations and business needs, he/she can choose to further explore specific areas of expertise or interest, or move to other departments or sections to gain broader exposure to the public transport industry. For those under the engineering pathway, there are also opportunities to attain professional recognition and become a Chartered Engineer.
