Healthcare (Administrators)

Singapore’s public healthcare system aims to provide quality and affordable basic medical services to all Singaporeans. As the holding company of Singapore’s public healthcare clusters, MOH Holdings (MOHH) and its agencies work hand in hand to fulfill this purpose and ensure that everyone has access to healthcare services in a timely, cost-effective, and seamless manner.

Our public healthcare system is anchored by the three public healthcare clusters, i.e., National Healthcare Group (NHG), National University Health System (NUHS), and Singapore Health Services (SHS). With a view to deliver patient-centered care, each cluster forms partnerships with other healthcare and community care providers within its geographical region to provide a full continuum of care for its patients. Our healthcare system is also supported by agencies such as the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) and Synapxe. AIC plays an active role in facilitating nationwide efforts for care integration for the elderly and developing a vibrant care community enabling our people to live well and age gracefully, while Synapxe leads our nationwide efforts in creating intelligent technological solutions to improve Singapore’s healthcare delivery.

Growth Opportunities

Singapore’s demand for healthcare services is expected to remain high given our aging population and prevalence of chronic diseases. To meet this increasing demand, the Ministry of Health (MOH) is enhancing our healthcare capacity, such as acute and community hospitals, polyclinics, nursing homes, and community care organizations, which will need to be supported by a strong and competent workforce.

Besides healthcare professionals, the public healthcare sector is looking to attract healthcare administration talents who can effectively partner healthcare professionals to fuel innovation and improve business sustainability. Some areas that our SgIS alumni have contributed to include Finance, Audit, Information Technology, and Data Analytics.

If you have a passion for healthcare, we invite you to take up a Healthcare Administration Scholarship (SgIS-HAS) and play a part in helping our fellow Singaporeans live long, live well, and with peace of mind.
