Penta-Ocean Construction group celebrated its 125th year anniversary in 2021 since the company’s founding in Kure City, Japan. Our business areas have expanded from initial marine civil engineering to land civil engineering and building construction. Penta-Ocean aims to become a “genuine global general contractor” with distinctive strengths in port, coastal and waterfront areas.

Since the 1960s, Penta-Ocean has grown with Singapore and contributed to its infrastructure. The Singapore office has since 2014 been established as a regional Head Quarters and continues to see Singapore as a strategic location for the business. As part of the company’s evolutionary journey, the Human Resource department has spearheaded an organisation transformation through its human capital systems and processes to drive the company forward to the future.

Potential career path and developmental opportunities for scholars

Penta-Ocean recognises the importance of young talents as part of its future business growth, and wants motivated and aspiring individuals to join the organisation to contribute to Penta-Ocean success in Singapore and her neighbouring countries’ infrastructure development.

Upon joining the workforce with Penta-Ocean, scholars will be given developmental opportunities to work on projects (like problem-solving workshops, productivity improvement projects, etc.) on top of their on-the-job training through their daily work. There are other programmes available that are designed to support graduates to navigate through the career paths available in the organisation based on their strengths and interest.
