Eligibility requirements

To participate in the 2026 DSA-Sec, your child must be born between 2 January 2010 and 1 January 2015 for Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents, or between 2 January 2012 and 1 January 2015 for International Students.
International Students will be required to take part and fulfil the requirements of the Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS). For NUS High School of Mathematics and Science, School of Science and Technology and School of the Arts, please refer to the schools’ websites for their admission criteria.
As all shortlisted applicants must attend the selection or trials in person at the schools, you should apply only if your child is able to enter Singapore. Refer to the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority for information.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend the selection or trials at the schools.

You have from 11am on Wednesday, 6 May 2026 to 4.30pm on Tuesday, 2 June 2026 to submit your child's application.

There are 2 parts for your application:

Getting a registration number.
Accessing the DSA-Sec Portal with the given registration number to submit your DSA application.

Registration (RG) number application

Online application opens: 11am on Wednesday, 6 May 2026
Processing time: 5 working days
Apply early: Submit at least 5 working days before DSA applications close at 4.30pm on Tuesday, 2 June 2026

If your child is studying in an MOE mainstream primary school:

Submit the required documents and the RG number will be sent to your email address.

If your child is a/an:

Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident

You are required to submit digital copies of the following documents:

Your child's birth certificate.
You and your child's proof of citizenship. For example, passport, entry permit, re-entry permit, FIN, NRIC, Certificate of Singapore citizenship.

International student

You are required to submit digital copies of the following documents:

Your child's birth certificate.
Proof of citizenship for both parents and child. For example, passport, FIN.
Dependant's pass, immigration exemption order or student pass (if any).
Your child's record of studying in Singapore (if any). For example, student card, school report book.
