Annual Seminar Gathers Over 760 Preschool Chinese Language Teachers to Explore Meaningful Teacher-Child Interactions

More than 760 preschool Chinese Language (CL) teachers came together for this year's Seminar for Preschool Chinese Language Teachers at Dunman High School on 15 August 2026. Themed "From 'Responding' to 'Co-constructing': Practice and Enhancement of High-Quality Teacher-Child Interactions" ("从'回应'到'共建'——高质量师幼互动的实践与提升"), the seminar equipped participants with practical tools and techniques to foster more meaningful connections with children in their care.
2 Organised by the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL) and supported by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC) and Dunman High School, this annual seminar serves as a platform for preschool CL teachers to enhance their teaching skills and grow their professional networks. Guest-of-Honour Mr Xie Yao Quan, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Member of Parliament for Jurong Central Single Member Constituency and Leader of the CPCLL Preschool Group, delivered opening remarks at the event.
3. Participants attended keynote lectures and concurrent sharing sessions led by local and overseas early childhood education experts, as well as presentations by practising preschool educators.
