Student Dancers Bring "Positivity" to Life at Chinese Street Dance Competition 2026

学生舞者在2026年爱上华文街舞比赛以舞蹈诠释 "正能量"

1. 46 students from six secondary schools and pre-university institutions competed in the Finals of the seventh Chinese Street Dance Competition, where they introduced the story behind their choreography in Mandarin and expressed their interpretation of this year's competition theme "Positivity 正能量" through energetic dance routines.

2. Jointly organised by the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL) and local media content company MCC, this annual competition aims to promote the learning of Chinese language and culture through music and dance.

3. Minister of State for Education and Chairperson of the CPCLL, Ms Jasmin Lau, delivered a speech and presented awards to the winning teams at the Finals and Awards Ceremony held at Our Tampines Hub's Festive Plaza today. Please refer to the Annex for the list of finalists.

4. In the lead-up to this year's competition, 11 schools participated in sharing sessions from February to April to learn more about street dance. During the interactive sessions, students also explored the value of "Positivity" and how it can be conveyed through dance.
