Student Dancers Reimagine "Growth" Through Chinese Street Dance Competition 成长 -- 2025年第六届爱上华文街舞比赛

1. Over 200 students from 19 schools participated in the sixth edition of the Chinese Street Dance Competition. Jointly organised by the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL) and local media content company MCC, the competition aims to promote the learning of Chinese language and culture through music and dance. The Finals and Awards Ceremony were held at Our Tampines Hub's Festive Plaza today.
2. Minister of State for Education and Chairperson of the CPCLL, Ms Gan Siow Huang, delivered a speech and presented awards to the winning teams. A total of nine primary school teams competed in the Finals, where they introduced the story behind their choreography in Mandarin and expressed their interpretation of the competition theme "Growth 成长" through beautiful dance routines. 3. In the lead up to this year's competition, 10 primary schools participated in sharing sessions from January to March to learn more about Chinese street dance. During the interactive sessions, students learnt about the value of "Growth" and how to convey its meaning through dance.
