A record of over 2,000 students from 240 primary and secondary schools submitted close to 1,300 video entries for this year's Text Recital Competition. Of this, more than 30 schools have emerged as award winners based on judging criteria such as the students' choice of recital texts, vocal articulation, and stage presence (See Annex for full list of award winners).

2. Minister of State for Education and Chairperson of the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL) Ms Gan Siow Huang officiated the awards ceremony and presented trophies and medals to award winners.

3. In preparation for the competition, over 800 teachers and students participated in two virtual recitation workshops conducted by the Singapore Chinese Teachers Literary Recital Society, where they learnt recitation techniques and how to improve their recitation skills through engaging and lively presentations.

4. Now in its fifth year, the annual Text Recital Competition is organised by CPCLL, in collaboration with Anderson Primary School and the Singapore Chinese Teachers Literary Recital Society. The competition aims to raise students' Chinese reading proficiency, ignite their love for learning the language, and deepen their understanding behind the connotations, rhythm, and beauty of the Chinese language.
