借舞蹈展示勇气——2022年第三届爱上华文街舞比赛大决赛

1. 100 students from 18 schools participated in the third edition of the Chinese Street Dance Competition this year. Jointly organised by the Committee to Promote Chinese Language and Learning (CPCLL) and MaxKids, a Mandarin edutainment community under MCC International, the competition aims to promote the learning of Chinese language and culture through music and dance. The competition finals and awards ceremony were held on 30 April at Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre.

2. Young student dancers from secondary to pre-university levels were invited to participate in the competition this year. After a round of selection and voting, the top 10 teams proceeded to the finals where they had to introduce their dance in Mandarin and demonstrate their interpretation of the lyrics of the competition's theme song, "勇气" or "Courage", through their choreography.

3. During the finals, the participating teams performed live for the audience, which comprised a panel of professional judges, as well as invited guests and supporters of the teams. The final results were based on the judges' scores from the live finals and online votes by members of the public from the video submission round.

4. Minister of State for Education and Chairperson of the CPCLL, Ms Sun Xueling, graced the finals and awards ceremony where she delivered a speech and presented prizes to the winners. The first, second and third place winners received a trophy and cash prizes of $2,500, $2,000, and $1,500 respectively. The team which best showcased the theme song through their dance received a trophy and a cash prize of $800.
