Question
To ask the Minister for Education (a) what is the status of the School Board Matching Programme, including the current number of corporate executives and family office leaders successfully matched to neighbourhood School Advisory Committees; and (b) what are the key feedback and outcomes from the initial pilot schools, particularly regarding the expansion of industry networks and career development opportunities for students.
Response
- The Ministry of Education is collaborating with local charity ImpactSG through its School Board Match Programme to identify and introduce suitable volunteers, including corporate executives and family office leaders, to our School Advisory Committees (SACs). We piloted the programme with four schools in the initial phase and have successfully matched four such volunteers to these schools by April 2026. As the partnership is still in its early stages, it is premature to assess its outcomes.
- MOE also collaborates with other organisations to match volunteers to SACs. Since 2021, some 170 volunteers have been matched. We will continue to monitor their contributions and match more volunteers to schools where suitable.
