Name and Constituency of Member of Parliament

Dr Wan Rizal, Jalan Besar GRC

Question

To ask the Minister for Education whether the Ministry has a structured process to (i) review findings from international surveys such as the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development Teaching and Learning International Survey and (ii) formulate and implement any recommendations following its review.

Response

  1. Singapore participates in international surveys such as OECD’s Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS) to benchmark against and learn from practices in other education systems. The survey findings are reviewed and complement other data sources that MOE draws insights from to inform our policymaking and programme development.
