To ask the Minister for Education in 2024, what is the total value of scholarships and tuition grants given to international students in our schools and autonomous universities, respectively.

Response

1. The total value of scholarships and tuition grants given to international students in our schools, polytechnics and autonomous universities is comparable to that of five years ago. The value of scholarships given to international students amount to less than 1 percent of MOE's budget. The total combined value of scholarships and tuition grants amount to less than 2 percent of MOE's budget.
