Question

To ask the Minister for Education (a) how many schools do not offer mental health services under the Response, Early Intervention and Assessment in Community Mental Health (REACH) programme; and (b) for each year in the past five years, how many students have been assisted under REACH services.

Response

1. Students with mental health concerns in all schools can be referred to the Response, Early Intervention and Assessment in Community Mental Health (REACH) teams for further assessment and intervention.

2. In the past five years, the REACH teams received an average of some 1,500 referrals from MOE schools per year.
