Bachelor of Engineering With Honours in Sustainable Built Environment

The Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Sustainable Built Environment (SBE) is a three-year direct honours degree programme developed in consultation with the Building and Construction Authority, Singapore.

The direct honours degree programme provides mechanical engineering training with specialisation electives in (i) Integrated Facility Management (ii) Green Building Design and (iii) Agritech and Aquaculture to prepare you to become a building mechanical engineer. Graduates will also develop lifelong skills to ensure they stay relevant in the Built Environment sector which focus much on decarbonization, energy efficiency and Sustainable Urban System. Students will go through rigorous academic training conducted by highly qualified professors and professional officers, as well as a eight-month Integrated Work Study Programme in the industry. SBE students are being trained to be eligible for Professional Engineering (Mechanical) qualification.

Students who perform well in the programme may proceed to pursue the Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering programme with Specialisation in Sustainable Building Technology.

Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP) provides students with the opportunity to undertake real work. Held over the span of eight months, it is designed to be more in-depth than a traditional internship. You will gain real work experience and apply the theories you learn in class with actual practice.
