4. Appointment and training commencement

If you meet all the requirements and are selected for the appointment, you will receive an invitation to attend an appointment briefing.

Newly-appointed SWOs will be required to attend a 10-week SWO Preparatory Training. After successfully completing the SWO Preparatory Training, you will need to serve as an SWO for at least 1 year.

If your application is unsuccessful, we will inform you via email. Alternatively, you can check your application status anytime via Careers@Gov.
