2. Application
The application windows in 2026 are as follows:
26 January to 8 February 2026- Interview period: early March to mid-March 2026
- Start work on: 1st day of 2026 Term 3
- Interview period: mid-May to end-May 2026
- Start work on: 1st day of 2026 Term 4
- Interview period: mid-September to end-September 2026
- Start work on: 1st day of 2027 Term 1
- Interview period: end-October to early November 2026
- Start work on: 1st day of 2027 Term 2

You can submit your complete application via Careers@Gov during the application window.
What you need to know
In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 4 weeks of the close of the application window. Applicants who are shortlisted will be invited for an interview.
Following your interview, our recruitment team will carefully evaluate all interviewed candidates. If you have not heard from us within 3 weeks after your interview, your application is still being actively considered.
