2. How to register

  1. Submit your application through the Registration and Engagement Management System (REMS 2.0) portal.
  2. All applications will be considered based on the Ministry's prevailing requirements and guidelines.
  3. Check your application status via REMS 2.0. You will also receive an email notification informing you on the outcome of your application. Applications will generally take about 4 weeks to process. In some cases, processing time may take longer.
  4. If successful, you will be listed in our registry, and schools will contact you directly if they need your services. You may also search job postings for vacancies in schools. Successful registration in REMS 2.0 does not guarantee employment in schools.
  5. We seek your understanding that only complete applications will be considered.
Successful registration in REMS 2.0 is not a guarantee of employment in a school.

Application window

  • 1 December 2023 to 31 January 2024

We will not be accepting applications outside of the window.

Update your qualifications

If you are currently registered as an SRE (Undergraduate) and have since completed your degree, please submit a fresh application under SRE (Graduate) in the REMS 2.0 portal during the application window.

Documents to bring on your first day

For your first appointment as a relief educator with a school, you will need to bring the following documents for verification by the school:

  • Original educational certificates
  • Relevant transcripts
  • Bank statement
  • Identification document
