M1, a subsidiary of Keppel Corporation, is Singapore’s first digital network operator, providing a suite of communications services, including mobile, fixed line and fibre offerings, to over two million customers.

Since the launch of its commercial services in 1997, M1 has achieved many firsts – becoming one of the first operators to be awarded one of Singapore’s two nationwide 5G standalone network license, first operator to offer nationwide 4G service, as well as ultra high-speed fixed broadband, fixed voice and other services on the Next Generation Nationwide Broadband Network (NGNBN).

M1’s mission is to drive transformation and evolution in Singapore’s telecommunications landscape through cutting-edge technology and made-to-measure offerings.

Potential career path and developmental opportunities for scholars

Recognising the diversity of talents and strengths amongst their scholars, M1 has multiple programmes to develop and chart their careers.

Scholars will spend their first years in the assigned department. Supervisors / Mentors will be appointed to coach and guide them. This will ensure the scholars have an in-depth understanding of their primary roles in M1. At the same time, the scholars may have opportunities to work on cross-departmental projects. Thereafter, they can be exposed to multiple roles and participate in meaningful projects.

As part of their development, the scholars will join our leadership development programmes at critical milestones in their career. In addition, there are also many opportunities for them to hone their professional / technical skills through both formal and on-the-job coaching/training.
