SYF 2023 Arts Presentation for Secondary and Pre-University Levels

2. About 30,000 students are expected to take the stage at this year's SYF Arts Presentation, which will commence on Monday, 27 March 2023. With the stepping down of COVID-19 measures, CCA groups in dance, drama and music can now look forward to performing live together at full ensemble size. In particular, choirs from secondary schools and junior colleges will be able to perform live at the SYF Arts Presentation after a hiatus of three years.

3. The Arts Presentation will be open to members of the public who wish to show their support. Performances will be held at various venues and streamed live online. Please see Annex A for more details.

SYF 2023 Celebrations

4. The SYF Celebrations will return this year after having pivoted to the digital "SYFgoesOnline!" for the past three years. From 30 June to 1 July 2023, students will showcase their artistic talents and performances at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay. Students will also have the opportunity to apply their skills and talents in emceeing, photography and videography as part of the Celebrations.

5. Similar to past SYF Celebrations, student participants will be mentored by local artists and industry professionals to create a more enriching learning and performing experience for them. Selected showcases will continue to be available on the digital platform "SYFgoesOnline!". Please see Annex B for more details.

SYF 2023 Art Exhibition

6. This year's SYF Art Exhibition to be held in July, themed 'Artist and Inspiration', aims to nurture in students a keen appreciation for historical and cultural influences in art. Primary school student artists are invited to submit original creations inspired by selected artworks of key local and international artists. More details of the Art Exhibition will be available on SYF's digital platforms from May 2023.
