Release of the 2022 Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level Examination Results

News Press Releases

1. Candidates who sat for the 2022 Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) examination received their results from their schools today1.

2. A total of 10,930 candidates sat for the 2022 GCE A-Level examination. 10,206 (93.4%) of these candidates have attained at least 3 H2 passes, with a pass in General Paper (GP) or Knowledge and Inquiry (KI). This is comparable to the performance of candidates for the GCE A-Level Examination in previous years.

Applications to Autonomous Universities

3. Interested applicants for admissions and/or scholarships to the Autonomous Universities (AUs) should submit their applications online. There is no need to submit a hard copy of their GCE A-Level certificates. More information on the AUs' admissions processes can be found on their respective websites, and applicants can approach the AUs directly for further clarifications.

Applications to Polytechnics

4. Eligible GCE A-Level graduates who are looking to further their studies at the polytechnics can benefit from module exemptions in about 120 courses. This can potentially reduce the time taken for them to obtain a polytechnic diploma by up to one year. Interested students should apply directly to the polytechnics from 21 February to 6 March 2023, for matriculation in April 2023. Students may also apply in August 2023 for matriculation in October 2023. More details can be found on the respective polytechnics' websites.

6. School candidates may also consult their teachers or ECG Counsellors supporting their schools for advice. To complement the ECG services provided by schools, candidates may make an appointment for counselling with an ECG Counsellor from the ECG Centre at MOE (Grange Road) via the e-Appointment system at go.gov.sg/moe-ecg-centre, calling the ECG hotline at 6831 1420, or emailing MOE_ECG@moe.gov.sg. The MOE ECG Centre will offer online or phone counselling from Friday, 10 February 2023 to Saturday, 18 March 2023 (Weekdays: 9am to 5pm; Saturdays: 9am to 12pm).
