To stimulate students’ interest in learning the Chinese Language, the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL) has launched its first Chinese audio book titled《我的心声 你的回响》by Ms Low Yen Ling, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Education and Chairperson of CPCLL.
2. Targeted at students in Secondary Schools, Junior Colleges (JCs) and Centralised Institute (CI), the audio book《我的心声 你的回响》is co-edited by our local renowned scholar Dr Quah Sy Ren (柯思仁) and famous artiste Danny Yeo (杨君伟). Production of the audio book was completed in early 2018. During the launch, they shared strategies on how the book can be effectively utilised for teaching and learning.
3. Audio books are useful tools to promote reading during and beyond Chinese lessons. Teachers can use the audio books to strengthen students’ listening and reading skills, as well as to help improve students’ pronunciation and overall language sense.
4. A complimentary copy of the audio book will be distributed to all Secondary School, JC and CI teachers.
