Elective Programmes

The Art Elective Programme (AEP) and Music Elective Programme (MEP), which started in 1984 and 1982 respectively, are offered to students with talents in art and music at selected secondary schools with Special and Express courses and selected junior colleges. These programmes aim to stretch students' talents in art and music, and to develop Practitioners, Scholars and Advocates who will also be Leaders in the arts in Singapore. The AEP/MEP is a four-year programme at the secondary level and a two-year programme at the junior college level.

The Language Elective Programme (
LEP) is a two year programme conducted at selected junior colleges only. The optional subjects offered in LEP include Chinese, Malay, French, German and Japanese. The LEP subject may be offered in place of the 4th GCE A-Level subject in any subject combination.
