Bachelor of Arts in User Experience and Game Design

The Bachelor of Arts in User Experience and Game Design is a multidisciplinary degree that combines coursework in user experience design theory, the humanities, and social sciences to equip you with the skills to create meaningful and engaging interactive experiences.

As a student, you will be enriched with the technical and aesthetic principles that make interactive experiences intuitive and engaging, as well as the tools and processes that designers use to implement, test and refine their ideas in a real-world production environment. You will become a highly skilled design expert, capable of merging writing, visual communication and the social sciences into stunning games, user interfaces and other interactive experiences.

Internship

Students can choose to opt for an Internship in their 10th and 11th trimesters. An internship is any carefully monitored work or service experience in which an individual has intentional learning goals and reflects actively on what she or he is learning throughout the experience. It is usually a professional activity under general supervision of an experienced professional and in a job situation, which places a high degree of responsibility on the student.

Overseas exposure programme

The Overseas Immersion Programme (OIP) is mandatory for students in the BA in User Experience and Game Design program. Students will study for one trimester at DigiPen Institute of Technology’s U.S. campus in Redmond, Washington, attending lectures, labs, and industry seminars. Students will interact with American professors and mentors while experiencing life in a different culture with their overseas peers.
