The online registration for 2020 K1 admissions is open to Singapore Citizen and Singapore Permanent Resident children born between 2 January 2015 and 1 January 2016, both dates inclusive.
The Registration Exercise period is from 8 February 2019 (Friday), 9am to 12 February 2019 (Tuesday), 4pm.
Parents can still apply for a place in MOE Kindergarten (MK) after the Registration Exercise, subject
to vacancies. Places will be allocated to applications received during the Registration Exercise first.
Depending on the vacancy situation of the MK that you are applying for, your application may be
accepted for admission, or placed on the MK’s waitlist should there be no vacancies in that MK at
the point of your application. You may contact the respective MKs to enquire about vacancies

Parents who submit an application after the registration exercise can expect to receive the outcome of their application after May 2019 if there are vacancies at their choice of MK.
Places in MOE Kindergartens (MKs) are allocated according to the admission priority order below. If the number of applications to an MK exceeds the number of vacancies available, balloting will be conducted accordingly.
A school-based MK will generally take up to about 160 children and a community-based MK will generally take up to about 60 children (community-based MK open for 2020 K1 admission is MK@Tampines).

MOE will reserve one-third of places for Singapore Citizen (SC) children from households with Gross Household Income (GHI) not exceeding $3,500 per month or Per Capita Income (PCI) not exceeding $875 per month, who live within 1km of the kindergarten.
SC and Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) children who have siblings studying in K1 - P6 in the MK/primary school in the year of registration.

Parents who have submitted their registration online during the Registration Exercise will be notified of the registration outcome by 10 April 2019 via post. Parents may contact the respective MKs to enquire if you have not received the registration outcome by 10 April 2019.
Parents will be informed to submit relevant supporting documents and sign a letter of undertaking (where applicable) at the MK if your child has been successfully allocated a place in the MK. For more information, please click here.
