Explore pathways and understand posting process
2. How posting works
To apply for a course, you must first meet the admission criteria of the course.
After eligibility is confirmed, all these factors will be taken into consideration for posting.
- Your net aggregate score, that is gross aggregate score minus bonus points.
- Your choice of courses.
- Vacancies available in the courses.
Interest is a consideration for posting to Diploma in Nursing courses at Nanyang Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
If you meet the minimum entry requirements and have indicated one of these courses as your first choice, you will be given priority to be posted to the course.
If you have the same net aggregate score as another applicant and vying for the last place in a course, posting will be determined by citizenship status, in this order:
- Singapore Citizens (SC)
- Permanent Residents (PR)
- International students
If both of you have same citizenship, e.g., SC, the one with a better gross aggregate score will be posted to the course.
If there is still a tie, a computerised ballot will decide the posting outcome.
You will be allocated a course of the same institution type as your first choice, subject to available vacancies and for which you met the course's entry requirements.
For example, if you have indicated JC as your first choice, you will be allocated to a JC course with vacancy.
