The MOE TA is a prestigious award offered to individuals who possess a passion for teaching. As a recipient of this award, you will have the opportunity to pursue your undergraduate studies at a local autonomous university or in the NTU-NIE Teaching Scholars Programme (TSP).
As a recipient of the MOE TS or MOE TA, you will be sponsored for your undergraduate tuition fees and receive an allowance. You will also be given developmental opportunities to prepare you for an enriching career as a future educator. After you have begun your career as an educator and depending on your performance and potential, you may also have the opportunity to take on key positions in the school or be deployed to the MOE Headquarters.

Bond |
If you are enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) programme at NIE, you will also have to serve a 3-year bond upon completion. This is concurrent with your scholarship bond. The discharge of your bond period starts on the day you assume official duty after completing your studies and NIE training (if applicable). |

NTU-NIE Teaching Scholars Programme (TSP)
The TSP is one of NTU’s premier scholars programmes, and augments the NTU-NIE Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BSc) programme. Recipients of the MOE Teaching Scholarships/Award in the BA/BSc will be placed on the TSP. The BA/BSc is a 4-year double major programme which offers a forward-looking, multidisciplinary curriculum which combines academic content grounding with education and pedagogical knowledge. As a graduate, you achieve the same level of academic specialisation as any degree holder of your chosen discipline.
