Mission

To build the capacity of schools in nurturing the social emotional growth and character of students, and in educating exceptional learners.

Our immediate customers are our schools, kindergartens and special education schools. Our core business is to enable our customers (the schools) to nurture the social emotional growth and character of all students. We also provide the expertise and leadership in building schools’ capacity to educate the pre-schoolers, the gifted and talented, and the children with special needs.

Functions

• Plan, develop and monitor policies and programmes on co-curricular activities, pastoral care and career guidance, gifted education and specialised programmes
• Develop policies and curriculum for pre-school; regulate and monitor kindergartens, and provide professional guidance and support to special education schools
• Develop policies, conduct research on identification and development of pupils' talents and abilities; develop/adapt and standardise psychological tests for academic and non-academic areas and administer psychological and general ability tests
