Potential career path and developmental opportunities for scholars

PacificLight is looking for candidates with drive and passion who want to be part of a dynamic team where ideas, communication and teamwork flourish. Scholars can look forward to an on-the-job structured training programme under the Operations and Maintenance department where they are trained to be the next generation of plant engineers. Other comprehensive training initiatives include simulator training, line tracing grading and control room operations to thoroughly assess and evaluate competencies.

This comprehensive programme offers a holistic understanding and hands-on approach to various aspects of a technical officer’s suite of roles and responsibilities, thereby ensuring a smooth transition to full-time plant employee. This performs the dual function of both equipping new employees with the necessary hands on skillsets to thrive in a niche industry, as well as increasing employees’ quality of work and productivity by making learning and skill enhancement a priority right from the get-go.
