How to apply
If your child is studying in:
- Mainstream primary school
- Non-mainstream school
- Mainstream primary school
- Non-mainstream school
You have from 11am on Thursday, 4 May 2023 to 3pm on Wednesday, 31 May 2023 to submit your child's application. Follow these steps:
- Use this application template to help you prepare the relevant information together with your child, before starting the online application.
- Log in to the DSA-Sec Portal with your Singpass Two-Factor Authentication (Singpass 2FA). Find out how to register for a Singpass and 2FA if you don't have one.
- Indicate up to 3 choices and 3 talent areas. You may indicate up to 2 talent areas for the same school. If you want to apply for 2 talent areas at the same school, you must indicate both as separate choices.
- Your child's primary school information will automatically be shared with the applied DSA-Sec school(s) except for School of the Arts and Singapore Sports School as both schools handle direct admission. This information includes your child's P5 and P6 academic results, and other information from P4 to P6, i.e. CCA, Values in Action involvement, School-based achievements/ awards such as Edusave awards, National School Games, Junior Sports Academy participation and National Physical Fitness Award results (only for sports talent) to the school(s) that you applied to. You do not need to key in this information.
- You may provide information on non-school based activities and achievements, which are related to your child's chosen talent areas. This section is non-compulsory, with a limit of 10 entries and no supporting documents are needed.
- Enter your contact details correctly. This allows the schools to contact you if your child is shortlisted for the selection process.
- You can update, withdraw and re-submit your application during the application period.

If you are unable to apply online
Approach your child's primary school for assistance.
If both parents are unable to submit the form to your child's primary school personally, you must nominate another adult to do so using this proxy form. The person you nominated will have to bring the following to your child's primary school:- Completed proxy form.
- Completed application form with parent's signature.
- Photocopy of your child's birth certificate.
- Photocopy of both parents' NRIC (both sides), entry or re-entry permit, employment pass (both sides) or work permit (both sides).
- Their original NRIC.
