Nominations are open for the Arif Budiman Malay Language Teachers’ Award (AGAB). Inaugurated in 2007, this is an annual award to recognise Malay language teachers in primary, secondary schools, centralised institute and junior colleges who have made significant contributions to the teaching and learning of Malay language.

2. Nominees will be evaluated based on their ability to instil a love for knowledge, skills and interest in the learning of the Malay language, literature and culture among students. Their dedication and commitment in the teaching and learning of the Malay language in the classrooms and beyond, as well as their care and concern towards the needs and well-being of their students, will also be considered. Nominees should demonstrate the values of ‘Arif Budiman’ – a learned person who contributes to society – through excellent and exemplary service as an educator.
