1. The results of the 2015 Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) will be released on Wednesday, 25 November 2015. Students may obtain their result slips from their respective primary schools from 11.00 am on 25 November 2015.

Submission of Secondary One Option

2. Eligible students will receive option forms to select secondary schools when they collect their results slips. Students are to discuss their secondary school choices with their parents as they complete the Secondary One (S1) Option Forms.

3. In every sealed S1 Option Form, there will be a unique S1 Personal Identification Number (S1 PIN) which can be used to submit the secondary school options online via the Secondary One Internet System (S1-IS). The S1-IS will be accessible from 11.00 am on 25 November 2015 to 3.00 pm on 1 December 2015 through the Ministry of Education’s (MOE) S1 Posting website at www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/secondary-one-posting/.

4. Students, in discussion with their parents, are advised to first consider their secondary school choices, decide on these choices and complete the option form before logging on to the S1-IS. This will help to facilitate the smooth completion of their online submission.

Crest Secondary School and Spectra Secondary School

9. Crest Secondary School and Spectra Secondary School are specialised schools that admit students eligible for the Normal (Technical) course. The schools offer a customised whole-school approach to suit the learning needs of its students. Apart from offering English Language, Mother Tongue Language and Mathematics as part of a four-year Normal (Technical) secondary school education, students in Crest Secondary School and Spectra Secondary School will be able to specialise in one of four ITE Skills Certificate courses at the upper secondary level, namely Hospitality Services, Retail Services, Facility Services and Mechanical Servicing.

10. Students who are eligible for the Normal (Technical) course and interested to study in Crest Secondary School or Spectra Secondary School should apply directly to these two schools from 11.00am on 28 November 2015 until 12.00pm on 30 November 2015. Students are required to submit a single application form to their preferred school (out of these two schools) and can indicate whether they are willing to be considered for posting to the other specialised school if they are not admitted into their preferred school. Separately, these students are still required to indicate their choices for other secondary schools under the S1 Posting Exercise. This would ensure that those who are not admitted into Crest Secondary School or Spectra Secondary School can be posted to another school of their choice in a timely and seamless manner. Students successfully admitted into Crest Secondary School or Spectra Secondary School will be informed by the schools via letter and SMS by 15 December 2015. Application forms for these two schools will be available from primary schools when students receive their results, or from these two schools’ websites (http://www.crestsec.edu.sg and http://www.spectra.edu.sg). More information on Crest Secondary School and Spectra Secondary School can be found on the schools’ websites or the information booklet entitled “Choosing Your Secondary Schools”.
